About NEGAH

NEGAH 1.0 is proposed as an efficient tool for designing and evaluating gaseous detectors in charge of measuring neutron/gamma flux in nuclear reactors. This software simulates the nuclear interactions and detection process in gaseous detectors via appropriate Monte Carlo approaches. Using NEGAH 1.0, professionals and auditors would be able to define customary fission chambers plus setting radiation sources, and then estimate detector readings over a broad band of energy. Sensitivity analysis of output to various quantities e.g. type and energy of radiation source, dimension of chamber, type and thickness of neutron converter layer as well as filling gas pressure and type is also feasible using NEGAH 1.0.
